Amau is pleased to announce the launch of “TSUMUGI,” a sustainable initiative that connects the effective use of textile resources with traditional Japanese craftsmanship.
In the fashion industry, materials such as cutting scraps and surplus fabric generated during production are often left unused despite possessing ample quality and beauty.
Recognizing the potential of these materials, Amau carefully crafted each pouch by hand from high-quality remnants, including silk and other natural materials, through the craftsmanship of people in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture.
The completed pouches will be used as gift packaging for Amau’s jewelry wash.
Just as we cherish jewelry for years to come, we also want to cherish the beauty of the materials and the skill and passion of the people involved in making them.
“TSUMUGI” aims to contribute to sustainable manufacturing by making effective use of limited resources and creating new value.
